Nathalie and Malcolm welcome you to La Vergne de Bouyrols.

The property consists of an ancient hamlet that has been modified to provide 2 very pretty self catering cottages in addition to the main house, where we intend, one day, to provide B&B and an evening meal. It extends to over 50 acres of the Sidobre and Natural Park of Haut Languedoc.

The cottages are secluded and fully equipped and have private terrasses and direct access to the numerous walks available on, or connected to, the property. We also offer access to our private swimming pool (12m x 5m) with shower, loungers and towels.

We are part of the Sidobre country, famous for its strange natural rock formations and also for the granite workings of the local craftsmen. Many of the rock formations have names - "hanging rock", "goose", "elephant", "billiard table", "3 cheeses" and many more. There are also the "chaos" - rivers of rocks hanging precariously to the hillsides.

Other easily attainable attractions are the planetarium of Montredon Labessonnié, the beautiful waterfall at Arifat, the "Zoo des 3 Vallées", and the pretty market town of Castres with its "Venitian" houses on the banks of the Agout, its museums and markets. A little further afield but perfect for a day out you will find the Cathare towns of Albi and its magnificent cathedrale and the Toulouse Lautrec museum, the medieval city of Carcassonne, and, of course, the pink city - Toulouse.

At the bottom of the valley lies the Agout river, ideal for fishing (trout, perch, gudgeon...) or for refreshing walks . For more detailed information visit the "To do/To see" page. Please wander around the site. We'd be pleased to receive your comments.
